Brett’s Watergarden is a boutique aquatic nursery in Capalaba, where waterlilies, lotus, and pond plants are grown with care, and a deep appreciation for the beauty of water gardens. Every plant is grown onsite in clean, natural pond environments (no filter or pumps) — we do not use chemicals in our ponds, apart from essential fertiliser to support healthy growth.

With more than forty five years of hands‑on experience, Brett has developed a quiet mastery of aquatic plants: how they grow, how they respond to the seasons, and how to bring out their most vibrant colours and forms. This knowledge shapes our nursery and ensures the plants we offer are strong, reliable, and true to variety.

 

To support successful water gardening, we also provide high‑quality essentials including aquatic soil, fertiliser, and planting pots, along with a selection of outdoor‑bred tropical fish. Our fish range includes goldfish, fancy guppies, platys, swordtails, paradise fish, and cherry shrimps — all raised in natural outdoor conditions in Brisbane.

 

Our nursery is open by appointment for those who wish to explore our growing ponds, view plants in person, and experience the calm, botanical atmosphere that defines Brett’s Watergarden.
